Salmon Teriyaki

Salmon Teriyaki

When I was at the market this morning I saw some amazing looking salmon and picked it up. Teriyaki one of my favorite ways of cooking salmon and it is really simple to make. When I got home from the market I made some teriyaki sauce. I then removed the bones from the salmon and placed it in the fridge in a ziplock bag with the teriyaki sauce to marinade. Several times during the day I changed the position of the salmon so that it marinated all over. When I pulled the salmon out of the fridge to cook it had taken on a nice brown colour as the teriyaki sauce had soaked in.

The teriyaki salmon tasted great. I love the way that some of the salmons fat cooks out of the salmon and mixes with the tariyaki sauce. Rice goes really well with teriyaki salmon as it soaks up all of the excess tariyaki sauce.

Ingredients:
* teriyaki sauce
1 serving salmon (deboned)

Directions:
1. Place the teriyaki sauce and the salmon in a ziplock bag and let marinate in the fridge for a 30 minutes to a few hours.
2. Cook the salmon in a preheated oven set to broil for 5-10 minutes. Pour some of the marinade over the salmon several times while cooking.
3. Place the salmon on a plate and pour some of the teriyaki sauce from the bottom of the pan on top of the salmon.

Wow, I really like what I see in your blog! My food is boring too, but I also don't know how to cook so I microwave almost everything, and I've got 300 cookbooks I've never even touched (I bought only the ones with photos, especially step-by-step photos), but I've got to start somewhere. I like the photos of what the final dish looks like, but I'm more likely to make an attempt if I see step by step info and photos, like in your link to the original Greek dolmade recipe, so I've bookmarked that page too. I was looking for images of grapes, saw a dolmades photo in image search, that photo led to your blog. I'm especially partial to anything with salmon, I always order that in one dish or another in restaurants but I'd like to learn how to cook it at home. I've bookmarked your blog, I'll definitely be coming back here! :-)
